Calling all tea-makers, tidy-uppers, activity planners, and helpers, for as little or as much time as you can spare.
Young people are amazing - we’re here to help them realise this
Volunteering with Scouts is just as rewarding for you as it is for our youth membersEvery week, we help our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts aged between 8 and 14 years old to get going, get thinking and get stuck into all sorts of things to help them get on their own two feet and give them real skills they'll be able to take into the real world. We call it our Skills For Life programme.
Our youth members get to try new things, master new skills, have fun and go on adventures, make new friends, learn about the world around them, help other people and help make a difference, both in the local community and in the wider world.
We want to help our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts to stand on their own two feet, give things a go, and learn how to pick themselves up and dust themselves down when things don't go to plan. With the right help and support, they can all be amazing.
Our volunteers are our everyday heroes that have empowered hundreds of young people that have walked through our doors to do all this and more. We want to make sure the only waiting list we have is for young people waiting to join Beavers when they turn six years old!
That’s where you come in
Find out how you can help, in whatever way you can make work for youIt doesn't matter if you weren't a Scout, or if you've never put a tent up in your life, and you don't need to be Bear Grylls. Our doors are open to people who share our values, regardless of ages, gender, race or background - people who help us make a positive change to our young people's lives.
So, if you're a tea-maker, tidy-upper, skill-sharer, minibus-driver, first-aider, a student who wants to boost their CV, or a parent that wants to volunteer so they can spend more time together as a family, then perhaps being a volunteer at 9th Warwick Emscote Scout Group will be perfect for you.
Whatever skills you've got, and however much time you've got, there's something you can do that will help. Whether it's helping a leader run an activity, putting a budget together for a camp, keeping our website up to date, or cooking a hundred sausages for a camp breakfast, it all helps.
And we won't just throw you in at the deep end either. We'll provide the training, support, resources and even the uniform. You show up, get stuck in, and make memories for life. And if that sounds like fun to you, and if it sounds like it's worthwhile, there's a good reason: it is.
