Hello.
Nice to meet you.
We’re 9th Warwick Emscote Scout Group.

We're a thriving Scout Group in Warwick.

Giving young people the life skills they need since 2012

A brief history of 9th Warwick Emscote Scout Group

Back in 2012, a meeting was held at All Saints Contact Centre, and Kate and Matt Booth, along with a whole host of other adult volunteers set the wheels in motion to create 9th Warwick Emscote Scout Group. Nearly 10 years later, our young (by Scouting standards) group is going from strength to strength, with the same goal of giving young people in Emscote access to Scouting.

The group exists to make sure that all young people in and around Warwick have the opportunity to get prepared for their big adventures in life, be that going to school, going on their first sleepover or camp away from home, taking part in fun and adventurous activities, indoors and outdoors, and learning valuable new skills for life.

Everyone is welcome regardless of gender, race or background, and we welcome all young people between 4 and 14 years old to help them learn skills they need, not just on the campsite or on the side of a mountain, but skills they'll use in school, college, university, at job interviews, important speeches, tricky challenges, and to help them accomplish amazing things.

Our young people learn by doing, and have an amazing time doing that. We help our members make a positive difference in their own lives, in the lives of others in their community, take care of our local environment, and do all sorts of amazing things. And, best of all, we all have loads of fun while they're doing all of that.

Our amazing team of volunteers make it all possible

We wouldn't be able to do any of this without our amazing leaders, helpers and supporters

Our section leaders are supported by their assistant section leaders, section assistants and occasional helpers, who are all supported and assisted by a small army of parent helpers, who assist us when we run camps, events and other sessions off-site.

Behind the scenes our management team and the Group Executive Committee help to ensure that the group runs smoothly, taking care of finances and the day-to-day running of the group.
