Annual General Meeting: Friday 16 October

As many of you know, we usually hold our annual AGM alongside a social event, where we have a chance to get together, and reflect on the past year. It’s always a fantastic event, and we’re sad that we can’t hold an event at this time.

However, as we are required to hold an AGM each year, we’re planning to hold this year’s via an online Zoom meeting. It’ll start at 19:00, include a short update from our Group Scout Leader, and the 2019/20 report from each Section Leader. The remainder of the meeting will focus on the legally required AGM elements, and we’ll then follow this up with a fun family quiz for everyone to participate in.

All are welcome to join the meeting, and you will find a link to the enable you to access the meeting below, along with links to the agenda and Trustee report. If you have any questions that you would like to raise at the AGM we would appreciate these in advance, which you can email to gsl@emscotescouts.org.

Volunteering

As you know, everyone at 9th Warwick is a volunteer. Our Executive Committee makes it possible for our amazing leaders to provide a fantastic experience for our youngsters, so please do consider volunteering if you can. You may even wish to consider becoming a volunteer within the Section Leadership team, and we have a number of flexible ways in which you can become as involved as you want to be.

We will have one Parent Representative vacancy on the Group Executive Committee, and we are looking for a volunteer from our current Beaver Parents to fill this position. If you’re interested, get in touch with us by emailing gsl@emscotescouts.org.
